Melaka wants to promote more rent-to-own house projects FMTNews

PETALING JAYA: The Melaka government aims to increase the number of homes under the rent-to-own concept targeted at the low-income B40 group. Chief minister Ab Rauf Yusoh said the Melaka Housing Board now had 1,150 homes under the RTO scheme, Bernama reported. This involved 1,100 People’s Housing Project homes in Tehel and 50 Rumah Sejahtera units in Lipat Kajang.Earlier, Rauf attended a key handover ceremony to Rumah Sejahtera houseowners.The original contractor failed to complete it due to internal problems and a new contractor was appointed to complete the project.
