MELAKA: Former Melaka chief minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron is trailing behind in Asahan, with Barisan Nasional’s Fairul Nizam Roslan leading in the six-cornered contest in the state polls.

Based on unofficial live results published by Pakatan Harapan, Fairul has 3,200 votes after 21 out of 39 voting streams have been calculated.

Perikatan Nasional’s Danesh Basil is in third place with 742 votes, while the three other Independent candidates all have fewer than 100 votes each.There are 15,745 registered voters in Asahan for this state election.
