KUALA LUMPUR: Law firms in green zones have been given the leeway to operate throughout the third phase of movement control order (MCO) which starts on Wednesday (April 15).

However, the new regulation only applies to conveyancing and corporate matters involving sectors allowed by the International Trade and Industry Ministry , and not litigation.

Published by the legal affairs division of the Prime Minister's Department, it said law firms in the green zone were also allowed to have one-on-one consultations with clients from the same green zone.It also said the allowed number of staff on duty was subject to the composition of the law firm declared in its application to Miti.
