MCO extended until April 14

New coronavirus infections are being reported daily despite a shutdown that is in place to fight the outbreak. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 25, 2020.

THE movement control order will be extended until April 14, said Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, in efforts to stem the continued rise of coronavirus cases. The Health Ministry is registering new infections daily despite the shutdown that is in place, he said in a special announcement. “This trend is expected to continue for some time before new cases decline. This forces the government to continue the movement control order for a longer period,” Muhyiddin said.
