McDonald's Pokémon Card Happy Meals Are Back, But Fans Aren’t Happy

These toys are meant to be used in a party game in which one person spins the wheel to decide on a stat, and then each player compares their cards to determine who has the highest score. Obviously, most adults who choose to buy the Happy Meals for themselves are mainly interested in obtaining thecards. For a lot of customers who purchased the Happy Meal, they got a very different kind of toy.

People still going after McDonald’s happy meals huh? lol

Why?

Pokémon fans unhappy about something? NEVER!!

Last time this happened, McDonalds gave me this weird anthropomorphic Monopoly toy because the weirdo in front of me bought 17 Happy Meals and they ran out of Pokémon cards.

I had to give head for the pikachu happy meal last time around cause I was broke but needed it 🤦‍♀️

…the cards don’t come in packs and are generally caked in fry grease.

Soon as I saw this promotion again I thought, 'those poor McDonald's employees' 😂

You bought 100 Happy meals for the Pokemon cards. I bought 100 Happy meals for the food. We are not the same.

I do think it's a bit silly for adults to be hoarding Happy Meals just for Pokémon cards, but... McDonald's should've still asked customers if they were ok with different toys or if they'd like to cancel their order. I'm sure some kids would've also been upset with wrong toys.
