PETALING JAYA: MBSB Bank Berhad kini bekerjasama dengan pihak berkuasa bagi memastikan kes kehilangan wang membabitkan beberapa akaun di cawangannya di Kota Kinabalu, Sabah dapat diselesaikan segera.
Dalam satu kenyataan, bank itu memaklumkan, keutamaan pihaknya ketika ini adalah soal keselamatan dan kepercayaan pelanggan mereka.“Kami telah membayar balik semua wang yang dikeluarkan secara haram daripada akaun pelanggan yang terjejas,” jelas bank itu dalam satu kenyataan. Dilaporkan polis menangkap 14 individu termasuk empat pegawai bank, seorang penjawat awam dan ahli sindiket berhubung kes kehilangan wang berjumlah RM24.2 juta daripada beberapa akaun bank berkenaan di Kota Kinabalu.
Menurut MBSB, insiden membabitkan sindiket yang bersekongkol dengan kakitangan tertentu kini ditahan polis.“MBSB Bank komited untuk mengekalkan integriti keselamatan perbankan untuk semua pelanggan kami dan akan terus bekerjasama dengan polis dan pihak berkuasa yang berkaitan untuk memastikan mereka yang terlibat dikenakan tindakan,” katanya. – UTUSAN
