The line-up starts with the four existing variants, which are the base 2.0G 2WD Mid , 2.0G 2WD High , 2.5G 2WD High and 2.2D 2WD High .The 2019 CX-5 is locally-assembled at Mazda’s production facility in Kulim, Kedah.
The diesel 2.2-litre SkyActiv-D produces 173hp and 420Nm of torque at 2,000rpm. Do note that the diesel variant is now available in front-wheel drive only, as opposed to all-wheel drive on the previous one. The instrument cluster is also new, featuring a new graphics and configurable TFT LCD screen as available on the 2019 Mazda3.The rest of the cabin is equipped with electric powered front seats, leather upholstery with metal/faux wood trim, electronic parking brake with brake hold and multi-function steering wheel.
