THE matriculation system is no longer relevant today, 20 years since it was first introduced, said Daim Zainuddin, as the former finance minister weighed on in the controversial education policy. Matriculation was originally used to correct an ethnic imbalance which no longer exists, said the former Council of Eminent Person chairman.

We know the metriculation destroyed the malays due to it's low standards. Umno has treated this program as a reward for members loyalty by allocating places for unqualified students. They should revamp the entry standards and send those not qualified for skills dvlpt programs.
To be excel the whole education have to be reformed immediately otherwise it’s just a recycled where headed nowhere......
A single standardized pre-university system available to every Malaysian who meets a minimum qualification is the way forward. The proverbial back and front doors have to be removed. One door for all.

Yes, Tun D but we have to start somewhere to reform the education system and there must first to establish the masterplan for reforms but so far, nothing cos Mazslee done nothing. If we continue to hold off any reform on excuse people not ready, Malaysia will forever stuck!
