KUALA LUMPUR: As children they used to play together in the same village in Parit Sulong, Johor, but as they grew up, they went their separate ways to chase after their dreams.

L/Kpl Norashikin Abdullah joined the police force while L/Kpl Mohammad Zaki Firdaus Nadirin enrolled in the armed forces due to their love and passion for the security forces.L/Kpl Norashikin managed to get in touch with her childhood friend.

L/Kpl Norashikin recalled that other children used to tease her and L/Kpl Mohammad Zaki, saying they were “inseparable”. “This time, it is for life. We are happy to start a family, ” said L/Kpl Norashikin, who is with the Seremban police district headquarters’ management division.
