The party elections at Masjid Tanah Bersatu division was nearly postponed today after there was some disturbance at the Pekan Masjid Tanah Bersatu branch.
However, the acting permanent president of the Pekan Masjid Tanah Bersatu women’s wing failed to provide an explanation, which caused the disturbance to occur. However, several youth members were dissatisfied with Shamsir’s decision and claimed that the youth and the branch meeting should be allowed to continue as they were not involved in the disturbance earlier in the women's wing.
The ruckus caused the meetings of 10 other branches to halt and the situation became uncertain when Shamsir was said to be having a meeting with the party election committee on their further action.
