Magistrate T Ashvinii meted out the sentence on Liew Ming Hui, 24, after he pleaded guilty to the charge.Liew was charged with possession of child pornography, namely a pen drive containing 19,011 such videos and images, at a property in Langkap near here, at about 4.20 pm on May 29.
The charge was framed under Section 10 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 which provides a maximum prison sentence of five years or a fine not exceeding RM10,000 or both, if convicted.
