Ampang OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the 48-year-old suspect was detained after he surrendered at the Taman Melawati police station at 1.30pm on Dec 4.
"The suspect then pointed the folding knife and a 52-centimetre sword at the duo," he said in a statement on Monday .
