Man found drowned in Sungai Tambun Tulang

Police say the victim was not carrying any identification and local residents did not recognise him. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, May 6, 2023.Kangar police chief Yusharifuddin Mohd Yusop said man was only wearing a pair of yellow trousers.

He said police and firefighters from the local stations in Simpang Empat were on the scene at about 3pm. “The unidentified victim is believed to be in his 30s,” he said in a statement tonight, adding that there was no vehicle parked nearby. “Local residents did not recognise the victim whose body was taken to the Forensic Unit of Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Star for a post-mortem,” he said, adding that the case was classified as sudden death. – Bernama, May 6, 2023.
