Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the 47-year-old victim returned home at about 4.30pm on Saturday and discovered that her house had been ransacked.

"When she returned home, an argument ensued and the suspect allegedly hit his wife," he said when contacted on Sunday ."A team of policemen went to the victim's house at at 6.38pm the same day and detained the suspect. We also seized three packets believed to be filled with ganja and the suspect tested positive for THC," he added."We believe the cause of the fight between the two was due to the suspect not being allowed to see his children.
