Flight OD1231, using an ATR72-600, was scheduled to depart Kota Baru at 7.10pm, carrying 43 passengers and four crew members, and was scheduled to arrive at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport at 8.15pm.
All 47 passengers and crew disembarked in a safe and orderly manner after the incident and the affected passengers were put on two subsequent flights from Kota Baru. In a statement, Malindo Air apologised for the inconvenience caused to its passengers due to the incident. "Our maintenance is currently carrying out immediate inspections and we would like to reassure the public that safety remains our utmost priority," the statement added. -Bernama
