Malaysians suffer RM302 million losses in online scams

Deputy Communications and Digital Minister Teo Nie Ching said the losses incurred from scams on Facebook amounted to RM232 million, whereas on Instagram, it was RM70 million. “The losses recorded from scams on Facebook was RM80 million for 2021 and RM92 million for 2022, but this year up to June, it has already reached RM60 million.
