Malaysian firms led by world’s top glove maker prioritise production of face masks amid Covid-19 outbreak

“The masks... will also be available for sale to our existing healthcare customers, in order to help the market cope with the surge in demand on the back of the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Executive Chairman Lim Wee Chai. “It’s not a very large quantity to begin with but we found we were able to begin production within a month following medical trials as we are a certified medical product manufacturer,” Chief Executive Goh Miah Kiat said.
