The Malaysian Armed Forces ( ATM ) is ready to cooperate with the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) to carry out cloud seeding operations if necessary due to the current hot and dry weather conditions in the country. Deputy Defense Minister Adly Zahari said that the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) is usually involved in the cloud seeding process, but they have not received any requests for assistance so far.
He added that if there is a demand or request, ATM will provide cooperation. Previously, they have been involved in cloud seeding in Sabah and the peninsula, and they are willing to help if needed
