Beliau berkata, kerajaan perlu mengambil pendekatan berani dalam soal subsidi iaitu melalui menyasarkan semula subsidi. “Harga ayam telah diapungkan dan tidak lagi disubsidi. Kerajaan dapat jimat RM100 juta sebulan. Kesannya apa? Iaitu bukan sahaja bekalan ayam stabil, tetapi harga ayam jauh lebih rendah ketimbang sebelum,” katanya.
“Dasar peralihan tenaga akan berusaha merancakkan pembukaan industri tenaga boleh baharu, lebih-lebih lagi sebagai persediaan Malaysia ke arah penggunaan tenaga bersih. Tumpuan kini adalah untuk membangunkan ekosistem perundangan bagi memudah cara pelaksanaan dasar tersebut,” katanya.
