Malaysia’s Producer Price Index fell 2.8% to 101.7 points in August 2020 from 104.6 points reported in the same month of the preceding year, according to the latest figures by the Department of Statistics.

Chief Statistician Malaysia Datuk Seri Mohd Uzir Mahidin highlighted that the decrease in the overall index was attributed by the decline in mining , electricity & gas supply and manufacturing .
