NSTnation: Out of Malaysia’s 673 cases recorded to date, 161 are in Selangor, 113 are in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya (Federal Territories), 82 are in Sabah and 77 are in Johor.

The latest figures were revealed by Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba during a press conference in Putrajaya, today.

The first fatality was a 34-year-old man from Johor, who attended the tabligh event at the Sri Petaling Mosque here, from Feb 27 to March 1. He developed a fever on March 5 and died at the Permai Hospital in Johor Baru, today. The second deceased was a 60-year-old pastor at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Kuching, Sarawak. The pastor, who had an underlying health condition, died at the Sarawak General Hospital at 11am, today.

Meanwhile, of the 120 new positive Covid-19 cases detected today, 95 are linked to the Sri Petaling mosque tabligh cluster. Out of Malaysia’s 673 cases recorded to date, 161 are in Selangor, 113 are in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya , 82 are in Sabah and 77 are in Johor.Related stories
