A TOTAL of 20.1 million foreign visitors came to Malaysia last year, bringing the tourism revenue to RM66.1 billion for the January-September period. This is noted in the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry’s 2019 report card, which said last year also saw the Malaysian Homestay Experience programme, aimed at strengthening the rural economy, recording 458,899 tourists with a total tourism revenue of RM29.7 million.
