Malaysia will need a strong and capable government to weather the storm as the global economy takes a turn for the worse next year, said Upko Supreme Council Member Rowindy Lawrence Odong.

Rowindy who is the Pakatan Harapan candidate for the Kimanis parliamentary seat said the International Monetary Fund has predicted that global growths will slow down to 2.7pc in 2023 and that for most people it will feel like a recession.She said Malaysians and Sabahans, in particular, must be wise in choosing leaders that can steer Malaysia through the storm and not put the fate of the country in the hands of corruptors.
