Malaysia is donating AstraZeneca vaccine doses to Bangladesh and Laos, two countries with low vaccination rates, says Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin. – EPA pic, December 6, 2021.
THE government has decided to donate 559,200 AstraZeneca doses to Bangladesh and 283,400 doses to Laos to ensure the countries in need have equal access to Covid-19 vaccines. Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said as of today, only 20% of Bangladesh’s population and 24% of Laos’ population had been fully vaccinated against the virus.
