A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl, believed to be a victim of abuse, was taken into protective custody by police from a house in Banda Hilir, Malacca, last night.
Malacca CID chief Mohd Sukri Kaman said officers suspected the girl’s biological mother, 30, and the mother’s boyfriend, 38, had slapped the child and beaten her with a belt, before she was rescued at about 10.45pm.
