Madden Streamers Are Going On 'Strike' Over In-Game Gambling Odds

, there are no amount of tweets, reviews or comments that can make publishers walk back the extent to which they’ve monetised major sports game series in 2022. The only thing that moves the needle with these companies is money, and so the only way for disgruntled players to get their point across is to withhold that money.

So seeing content creators mobilise as a means of protest is heartening! Though it’s also wild to consider that a decade of turning sports games into shakedowns has normalised things to the extent that people are “striking” not to have the modes thrown out, or made entirely free considering you have already spent $60 on the game.

Lol another hash tag not going to do anything. It's called not buying, I get it denial is a sob.

Love it, going on strike because of the gambling odds and not the fact that gambling is in a game deemed suitable for minors.

Most top-tier streamers open free or bought-for-them packs anyways. This has been tried countless times by the Madden community. It has never and will never work. The best thing you can do is quit playing Gacha sports games. Yes I know that's all of them.

Madden Content Creator Here, Yeah it's bad. Worse than in years past. Most of us content guys try to find ways to help people avoid the predatory tactics but this year is an exceedingly poor year. On top of more technical issues than expected.

No one said they couldn't gamble as long it legal in there states and twitch ban it because streamers were making there viewers pay there gamble debts and for them to gamble

Was that before or after they spend tens of thousands of dollars every year? Nice to finally see them take a stand but they’re part of the problem it’s become.
