KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is prepared to cooperate with local higher learning institutions (IPTs) to educate students and raise awareness about the dangers of corrupt practices.

MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Azam Baki said that cooperation between the MACC and IPTs to promote and cultivate anti-corruption attitude among students is seen as vital to produce a high-integrity workforce in the future.

"MACC is ready to assist in implementing anti-corruption programmes and training so that in the next four to five years, there will be more integrity in the workplace and among leaders," said Azam. "In addition, MACC will also strengthen the Anti-Corruption Student Force as many students are unaware of its existence,” he added when speaking as a panelist in an anti-corruption analysis and resolution programme organised by local media on Wednesday

Meanwhile, #RasuahBusters core team leader Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub said awareness of corruption culture has been ingrained in the students following various corruption educational programmes that have been carried out. He added such awareness programmes should be conducted continuously in shaping an ethical workplace culture and shunning all forms of bribery and corruption. - Bernama
