PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has nabbed a Perak Umno division leader for allegedly misappropriating half a million ringgit from an association for disabled people.
In confirming the arrest, Perak MACC director Mohd Fauzi Mohamad said the anti-graft agency detained the deputy division leader on Sept 3.It is understood that the politician is being probed for abuse of power.“He is being investigated in his capacity as a president of the association,” he said, adding that it had nothing to do with Umno.
