PUTRAJAYA: An eighth individual has been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in connection with false claims amounting to over RM27mil.

A source said the 46-year-old man was arrested at the MACC headquarters here at about 11pm Thursday when he appeared to give his statement.

MACC special operations division senior director Datuk Tan Kang Sai confirmed the arrest and said that the case was being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act.
