In a statement the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission said Muhyiddin, who was also the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president, would face a number of charges under Section 23 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and Section 4b of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorist Financing and Proceeds of Illegal Activities Act 2001.
"Accordingly, the MACC has also received permission to prosecute from the Attorney General's Office to charge Muhyiddin at the Kuala Lumpur Court on March 10," it said.
