GEORGE TOWN: Jeffrey Chew, the former Penang Port Commission (PPC) chairman, has been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) here.

Sources said that the former state DAP assistant treasurer was arrested at 2pm on Tuesday when he was at the Penang MACC headquarters in Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah to give a statement.

The source did not give further details on the arrest but said he might be produced in court on Wednesday .Article type: free
