Just recently, the Johor Bahru Sessions Court awarded RM721,000 to a Malaysian motorcyclist who suffered injuries after hitting a pothole due to a company’s failure to maintain the road.Well, another pothole-related incident went viral in our country too, this time involving a good samaritan who went out of his way to help warn road users of a dangerous deep hole on a road in Rawang, Selangor.
In the video recorded from the roadside in front of Aeon Mall Rawang towards Bandar Country Homes, a big and deep hole can be seen in the middle of the busy road as vehicles pass by.Risking his life on the busy road, the man then went to the hole and put the tree branch inside of it to warn road users, especially motorcyclists of there being a hazardous pothole there.
In the comments section, Malaysians praised and thanked the man for his selfless action and questioned where the relevant authorities were in dealing with the deep hole. Meanwhile, another commenter said that the deep hole posed a serious danger to motorcyclists and thanked the good samaritan for his efforts to put the tree branch as a warning to other road users.
