when it comes to having talented athletes.Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh took to her Twitter page to congratulate Malaysian World No.16 squash player, Sivasangari Subramaniam, for winning against 7-time Egyptian World Champion, Nour El Sherbini, on March 30 .According to a report by PSA World Tour, Sivasangari was said to have been shockingly spectacular in her relentlessness on the court.
“I’m still speechless. That went really quick and I don’t know what was happening on court, beating the World No.1! I respect Sherbini a lot, she’s the best on tour and is really talented. To beat a player like that, I came in with my A-game today.” “I was just trying to focus on my game, rather than how she is feeling, but I took full advantage with my attacking game today,” Sivasangari shared.
She has also become the first Malaysian to reach a gold level final, something last achieved by Datuk Nicol David in 2015, after winning against Belgium World No.4 Nele Gilis just a day after beating the world champion.What do you think about this?
