Paparan peta kontroversi turut mencetuskan kemarahan beberapa negara Asean yang memfailkan tuntutan ke atas perairan di Laut China Selatan. FMTNews Abominable

Pengerusi LPF, Mohamad Zamberi Abdul Aziz berkata Abominable boleh ditayangkan di Malaysia dengan syarat peta kontroversi dikeluarkan.

Paparan peta itu turut mencetuskan kemarahan beberapa negara Asean yang mengemukakan tuntutan ke atas perairan rantau ini. Vietnam telah mengharamkan filem itu dari pawagam Isnin lalu, sementara menteri luar Filipina telah menyeru tempat kejadian menunjukkan peta China dipotong dan filem itu diboikot.
