KUALA LUMPUR: E-hailing drivers who have failed the test to obtain a passenger service vehicle (PSV) license more than three times will be given a special verbal version of the test, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

KUALA LUMPUR: E-hailing drivers who have failed the test to obtain a passenger service vehicle license more than three times will be given a special verbal version of the test, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke .

"For those who failed the exam more than three times, we will give a special examination to them. For some of them, their understanding in terms of reading might be inadequate, so we will test them verbally," he told the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday . Loke said that up till Dec 2 this year, 91,978 e-hailing drivers have successfully obtained their PSV licenses since it was introduced last April 1, adding that 42,818 of them have failed the test.Loke said there were 358,944 active PSV licenses, which includes e-hailing, bus and taxi drivers."For taxi drivers, they have a choice. Aside from being a traditional taxi driver, they can also use the e-hailing system," he added.
