"We hope to see some improvement in Sungai Skudai by September this year.
"We are focussing on Sungai Skudai this year before dealing with the other two rivers," he said when met by reporters after attending a Sungai Skudai clean-up programme at Kampung Bakar Batu, here, on Sunday . The task of cleaning Sungai Skudai will be handed over to four local councils, namely Johor Baru City Council , Iskandar Puteri City Council , Pasir Gudang City Council and Kulai Municipal Council , he added.
Onn Hafiz also said that the Drainage and Irrigation Department collects more than 30 tonnes of waste from Sungai Skudai every month.
