LONDON, July 27 — The breakaway LIV Golf series today announced a 14-event league for 2023, with organisers aiming to expand their reach across the globe.
Star players recruited by LIV Golf chief executive Greg Norman include major winners Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka and Sergio Garcia. Players will be competing for US$405 million in prize money, with the season culminating in a team matchplay grand finale. “Our franchise model will bring new energy and excitement to fans from all corners of the world, establishing a league of teams to connect and grow with,” added the Australia golf great, a two-time winner of the British Open.
