Many Bumiputera SMEs are not registered with LHDN as they earn below RM5,000 a month. FMTNews LHDN SME

PETALING JAYA: An NGO voiced concern today that the requirement for small and medium-sized enterprises to register with the Inland Revenue Board to qualify for government aid will see many Bumiputera businesses left out.

“They will suffer huge losses as they are not allowed to operate during the movement control order and there is no aid for them.” “We urge the government not to sideline Malay Bumiputera SMEs that have the potential to produce quality products.”

Are they are talking about Makcik Kiah? We are now seeing many road side stalls grown from just a small table to occupying many lots of car parks. And they do not pay a sen rental. I notice some local councils are building 'foodcourts' to be rented to these hawkers. Good move.
