Have you heard of the LG KC910 Renoir? Apparently, it was a cutting edge smartphone back in the day - so much so that LG UK decided to use a daring ad to

prove that point.

The commercial in question, which ran 30 seconds, depicted an assortment of musical instruments, speakers, cameras, and art materials neatly arranged within a large hydraulic press. All of these objects are then crushed and compressed, seemingly taking the form of a palm-sized smart device as the end result.Sounds familiar? Keep in mind that LG released this in November 2008.

This begs several questions. Did Apple copy an ad that came out over 15 years ago, or is it just by sheer coincidence that the now-infamous 'Crush' commercial for the new iPad Pro resembles LG's idea from yesteryear? And are we expecting another apology from the Cupertino-based tech giant soon? Now, you may be wondering if the ad for the LG KC910 Renoir had also received a ton of backlash back in the day.
