Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng today says the government will channel RM60 million in funds to MCA-owned Tunku Abdul Rahman University College if the party is willing to relinquish its ownership of the private higher education institution.
"I have said before that if MCA is willing to relinquish control over TAR UC, the government will immediately reinstate fundings, which is RM30 million this year and RM30 million next year.
why Not, you all suggest to ask** your side** students especially Accountancy Students to enroll to other Colleges and Universities in the Country. Solution is not a Provoke Suggestion is not a Joke
Why not give directly to student as scholarship... No need to give directly to MCA University. University make money from student fee sponsor by the government.
LGE, you are really bad. I really hate you for this. Other institutions like Uitm and etc not linked to umno?
MCA should let go TAR n let it runs independently.
LGE. Don’t be naughty haha 🤣
Asshole. Using students education and future as pawn for political vendetta
Usah keliru.
Agreed
LGE, don’t politicise education and don’t hold students at ransom! It will be the cause of DAP’s collapse in future!
LGE remember you are handling the RAKYAT MONEY. You as finance minister together with the PM must recognise the people - tax payer Rakyat of Malaysia has a right to fair and just education. You allocated RM64 billion for government edu system But you do not fund TAR Uni Justice?
pariah minister. only dare bully chinese but always kowtow to ppbm (umno). next election, the rakyat will decide ur fate. why can give rm8 billions (8,000 mils) to bumi entrepreneurs, and rm1.3 billions (1,300 mils) to jakim but can't give rm30 mils to TARuc? useless
No allocation to MCA - linked education institution; LGE is petty Allocation to MCA - linked institution; see, told you LGE priorities Chinese education Lose-lose situation no matter what But if MCA relinquish linkage to the institutions, at least it would seem race-neutral.
Politicised yes. The trust gap is the issue here.
It's a private institute, fair, then MCA can sell to any bidder, and not 'give up control' FOC or 'Board of Directors resign' as suggested by that brilliant Finance Minister. Precedent set, even if BN returns in power, no more grants.
Why should gov allocate money to private university/college? Private universities/ colleges commercialize education and they should run at there own finance. If poor students manage to study private universities then they are not poor, while PTPTN is still available for them too
Excellent move by the Gov
jalphonsalopez Alamak...similar but different context: you scratch my back and I scratch your back. No?
Finance Minister must be fair to Tar UC and provide funds as there are all students from all races. Education must be improved and it is not the way of PH. Then why give to PA S controlled schools.
Play hard ball with MCA
guanenglim ...why? 1.3b to jakim for what?
I've always respect him but using his position to threaten school is bad. Students are the one get affected, not MCA. MCA is long gone. Nobody trust them anymore.
Everyday MCA condemns the Pakatan government. So there is no reason for Pakatan govt to allocate anything to the MCA-owned college. If MCA truly cares for the future well-being of TAR UC, then let go of it. What’s the point of feeding a dog that barks on you every day?
Wow so petty. LGE punishing the students. Grow up la
Must education be politicised?🤔
Making needy students your political pawns I dare you to do the same to MARA students by UMNO You have lost my vote. Careful of your karma guanenglim limkitsiang chedetofficial UTARnet MCAHQ
