Launched back in September last year, the ThinkPad X1 Fold is large 16.3-inch foldable OLED display with resolution of 2,560 x 2,024. The resolution is as such, given that it has a unique aspect ratio of 4:3. When folded, the overall size of the laptops shrinks down to 12-inch.
Specs-wise, the ThinkPad X1 Fold is powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 vPro CPU and ships out with up to 32GB LPDDR5 memory and up to 1TB of PCIe Gen4 storage. For ports, the laptop comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, both of which can be used to expand the connectivity options, should you choose it. Also, there is a USB-C 3.
As with all foldable laptops, the ThinkPad X1 Fold can transform either into a 12-inch laptop, be used in Tablet mode when fully opened, or as the full 16.3-inch experience when it a desktop mode. Unfortunately, the laptop cannot be folded all the over to the back. While Lenovo says that the ThinkPad X1 Fold is available globally, we’re still waiting for word on local availability and pricing, at the of writing.
