Ketua Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Kuala Lumpur Senior Asisten Komisioner Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid berkata, bertindak atas maklumat dan risikan berhubung kegiatan pelacuran dalam talian itu, Cawangan Siasatan Jenayah Bahagian Anti Maksiat, Judi dan Kongsi Gelap Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Kuala Lumpur menahan pasangan suami isteri itu di sebuah residensi di Jalan Galloway, Bukit Bintang, di sini, semalam.
"Pelanggan mereka pula hanya terdiri warga tempatan yang dicari melalui aplikasi WhatsApp," katanya kepada Harian Metro. Nik Ros Azhan berkata, semakan juga mendapati lelaki itu memiliki rekod jenayah lampau membabitkan kes dadah mengikut Seksyen 39A Akta Dadah Berbahaya 1952 manakala isterinya juga mempunyai dua rekod jenayah lampau membabitkan akta sama.
"Mereka kini ditahan bagi membantu siasatan mengikut Seksyen 372A Kanun Keseksaan dan Seksyen 372B Kanun Keseksaan," katanya.
