TIADA lonjakan pasca Aidilfitri dalam kes jangkitan Covid-19 seperti yang bimbangi, kata Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. Bagaimanapun, kerajaan masih memantau keadaan sebelum memutuskan apakah lebih banyak sektor akan dibenarkan dibuka.“Kami bimbang akan ada lonjakan kes selepas Hari Raya. Tetapi sudah seminggu sejak Hari Raya dan tiada kenaikan yang drastik,” katanya.
“Kami akan terus memantau dan menasihati Perdana Menteri Muhyiddin Yassin dan Majlis Keselamatan Negara jika ia berlanjutan. “Mungkin kita boleh memberi lebih banyak kelonggaran agar sektor lain seperti sosial, sukan dan pendidikan dapat beroperasi,” katanya hari ini pada sidang media harian kementerian mengenai koronavirus, di Putrajaya. – 1 Jun, 2020.
