JAKARTA: Lebih 350 doktor dan pertugas perubatan dijangkiti Covid-19 biarpun sudah mendapatkan suntikan vaksin keluaran Sinovac dan puluhan dimasukkan ke hospital.
Ketua Kesihatan Daerah Kudus di Jawa Tengah, Badai Ismoyo berkata, kebanyakan doktor yang dijangkiti itu tidak menunjukkan sebarang gejala dan menjalani kuarantin di rumah. Bagaimanapun, puluhan yang dimasukkan ke hospital mengalami demam tinggi dan kekurangan tahap oksigen dalam badan.Namun, jumlah petugas perubatan yang maut akibat Covid-19 mencatatkan penurunan signifikan iaitu dari 158 kematian pada Januari lalu kepada 13 orang pada Mei lepas.
Sehubungan itu, pelbagai pihak memberi amaran bahawa langkah pencegahan Covid-19 tidak boleh bergantung kepada vaksinasi semata-mata dan masyarakat perlu mematuhi peraturan yang ditetapkan. – REUTERS
