LABUAN: Kampung Belukut, a village categorised as lacking in infrastructure, was adopted as a Madani Foster Village under the Federal Territories Department to elevate the well-being of the people.
She said the MOF had approved RM2.5 million to implement projects such as repairing village roads, installing street lights, and upgrading the community hall through a “gotong-royong” effort. Noridah said this village adoption programme is a holistic initiative introduced by the Prime Minister through the 2024 Budget to give equal access to basic facilities such as water supply, electricity, roads, street lights, community facilities and internet access through a “Whole of Government” approach.“The implementation of the Madani Village Adoption Programme in Kampung Belukut has a significant impact on the morale of the local populace.
