Kuching native becomes new Ipoh OCPD

The 56-year-old Kuching native is taking over the post from outgoing ACP Yahaya Hassan, who is leaving on mandatory retirement.

Prior to Ipoh, ACP Abang Zainal Abidin was the Padawan OCPD in Kuching, Sarawak for two years and seven months."I have also held various posts in different departments and have served in the police force for 34 years," he said. Perak police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, who witnessed the handover ceremony, said he hoped that ACP Abang Zainal Abidin could get settled in quickly to his new environment.
