The multi-award-winning magazine recently released the latest edition of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards, listing the top places to stay in the Asia Pacific region. The list also includes the top cities, islands, airlines and more, as voted by readers of DestinAsian.One of the top categories in DestinAsian's Readers’ Choice Awards is the ‘Best Cities’ category.
Besides taking the top five spot in the best cities list, Malaysia also found two local destinations in the top ten of the best islands in Asia Pacific. Popular travel destination Langkawi comfortably settled itself at seventh place, while food paradise Penang nabbed the eighth spot. The two islands beat Palawan Island in the Philippines and Lombok Island in Indonesia, which placed ninth and tenth place, respectively.
Malaysia was also in the top ten of a few more categories, including best airports, airlines and boutique hotels.
