Kuala Lumpur playmaker Josue has many attackers to provide for

The 33-year-old Brazilian playmaker has quite a number of wingers and strikers in the form of Tchetche Kipre, Herlison Caion, Firdaus Saiyadi, Patrick Reichelt and Sean Gan Giannelli to feed from the middle of the park.

“The friendlies will help us to have a better understanding on the field, so we can function as a unit when the season starts,” said Josue.“Players like Sean and Haqimi also come in with high expectations. The presence of these players gives the coach a welcome selection headache.” Josue, who is 16 goals behind the club’s all-time top scorer Guilherme De Paula, who scored 66 goals from 2017 to 2019, said breaking that record is one of his targets but his main focus is to help KL achieve their goals.

“We’re looking for at least a top-five finish. We have the quality and the ammunition to achieve that. On my side, of course, I want to score more goals and provide more assists,” he said.
