: Kerajaan melalui Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga Dan Masyarakat akan terus memperkasakan Organisasi Berasaskan Komuniti bagi menggerakkan peranan mereka sebagai rakan strategik dalam usaha membendung kes penderaan kanak-kanak dan keganasan rumah tangga dalam komuniti.
“Oleh itu, kementerian akan memperkasa organisasi-organisasi ini dengan memberi geran bagi menggerakkan peranan mereka sebagai rakan strategik KPWKM. Pada majlis itu, Nancy turut menyerahkan bantuan kewangan kerajaan bernilai RM558,723.60 kepada Pertubuhan Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Puteri Gunung bagi menampung pemberian elaun pelatih OKU, sagu hati penyelia dan petugas, sewaan premis dan utiliti.
Sehingga kini, terdapat sebanyak 570 PPDK di seluruh negara termasuk 24 daripadanya terletak di Pulau Pinang.
