In a statement on Monday , the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department said these activities include slaughtering, cutting and packaging of the meat.
It added that korban activities are also allowed in open areas, apart from mosques and surau, with permission from DVS, respective local councils and the district health office. "The capacity limit for the activity is not exceeding five animals per day, with no more than 12 participants. "All approvals are subject to the standard operating procedure that has been set," said department director Datuk Mohd Ajib Ismail.
He added that the meat must be distributed directly to the recipients, which include the participants, frontliners and needy households according to a prepared name list.
